The Chamber represents over 550 members in diverse industries across the Central Massachusetts region.

In recognizing Meagan for the award the Chamber explains, “there isn’t a Chamber networking program, webinar, or volunteer opportunity that Meagan doesn’t participate in. Since the time she joined the Chamber in 2016, she has accelerated herself and her business to the next level.”

The last year was a challenging year for small businesses, and this award acknowledges Meagan’s work supporting her small business clients as well as utilizing her engagement in the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of Commerce to support M. Jackson Accounting & Bookkeeping.

She takes a hands-on approach and becomes a trusted advisor to small businesses by working with them to simplify, update, and streamline their bookkeeping practices. As a leading advisor on Quickbooks she works with clients to learn how to optimize their use of the software to support their business objectives. Meagan believes that when clients are more comfortable with their accounting and bookkeeping systems they are better able to focus on their goals and make their books a key factor in driving strategic business decisions. Clients say that one of Meagan’s biggest assets is the strength of her professional network and ability to connect them with the right resources to grow their businesses.

The 2021 Small Business of the Year Award is recognition of Meagan and M. Jackson Accounting & Bookkeeping’s impact on the Corridor 9/495 Regional Chamber of Commerce community over the past year and beyond. “It’s still pretty surreal,” says Meagan, “but it shows me that all of the small things that I accomplish can add up to a big impact on others.” She looks forward to a continued partnership with the Chamber and its growing membership. Most importantly, Meagan is excited to continue to help small businesses gain strong bookkeeping and financial understanding, giving them confidence and control over their businesses’ futures.
